I just want to update the contest rules that we can now Send Coconuts Worldwide!
We previously had put that we could only send it to four countries but had a few people contact us about being unable to enter but wanting to. So we checked with the US Postal Service and it turns out we can send coconuts without a box, by themselves, like a postcard to anywhere the USPS services. Worldwide!
I thought I would update you all and hopefully you can enter or update your posts if need be.
Aloha
E
Thanks to everyone who’s joined the contest so far! We’ve had some good entries so far and more are coming in. I’ll be announcing the winners (if we have some of course) in a few days, and if not well, we’ll just need more entries. Remember you can enter as many times as you wish.
As for the time it might take to dig through the posts. I’ve decided to make it a little easier for everyone by directing you to the Daily or Post-by-Post archives. Here you can easily find just the post title and the day it was published. The titles pretty closely follow the content but it’ll be easier for you to check them out. That way you can easily and quickly post an entry like these example entries at my blog. Feel Free to use my entries verbatim except might change the links if I were you.

This is the Official Launch of Blogtown Press! You have a chance to win a Coconut straight from Hawaii, where Blogtown Press is headquartered, with our Link to a Coconut Contest. As we mentioned kickoff post we’re a blog network all about giving back and we want to kickoff that giving back by giving you a chance to win a piece of paradise.
We’ve picked 3 posts within our blog network and you just have to link to one of those three posts and you win. The official rules are posted below and you can find a list of the blogs at our Town Blogs and you may also find the official contest page helpful.
Official Rules
1. We currently can only send Coconuts to the US, Canada, the UK, and Australia, so anyone else will have to find someone who lives there or link for good natured fun.
2. Write an article on your blog that contains a link back to any one of the posts on any one of the 12 blogs in the Blogtown Press blog network of blogs (see list and description below.)
3.You can only link to three posts per post on your blog and you must link back to this page as well, so if you want to write about more than three posts you’ll have to write another post. Feel free to use the contest image above in your post, you can resize it to fit.
4.The link to each post should contain a keyword related to the post, just using the title is fine. For example a link to a Michelle Wie post would be Michelle Wie Misses the Cut at the European Masters. We will then be keeping track of all entries via trackbacks, if you post a link to the permalink, we’ll get it as a comment, we have our posts setup like that so just link to the permalink and voala! If you don’t think your post properly tracked back or pinged the blog post you wrote about feel free to email us at blogtownpress@gmail.com
5. If you win hopefully there will be a way to contact you at your blog, or just email us at blogtownpress@gmail.com. We’ll announce the winners here at the top of the page, and all we ask in return, only if you want, that you email us a picture of you (or something/someplace interesting) with the coconut.

UPDATE 12-21: 2 Coconuts remain! First winner Recieved their Nut, don’t miss out.
UPDATE 11-22: First Winner! You can read about it here.
UPDATE 11-15: We can now send coconuts worldwide
UPDATE 11-15: Now you can easily navigate all posts in the network by titles and date
UPDATE 11-14: You can see example entries here.
Welcome to the first ever Link to a Coconut Contest! Brought to you by the new blog network, Blogtown Press.
As we said on our very first post on our Blogtown Press Blog Network Blog we are going to give back to the readers that make our network what it is. Since we are currently headquartered out of the great state of Hawaii we are going to be enabling you, our readers, to win a little piece of paradise!
That’s right we you have the chance to win a genuine Hawaiian Coconut, straight from a Coconut tree on the shores of Oahu, dried in the Hawaii sun, and shipped directly to you, plastered with Hawaii themed stamps!
FAQ and RULES:
Why a coconut?
The idea behind the contest is simple, who doesn’t want a coconut straight from Hawaii?
Who can play?
UPDATE: WE CAN SEND COCONUTS WORLDWIDE, SO ANYONE CAN ENTER! YIPEEEEEEE!
We check with the USPS and anywhere they ship we can ship without a box a coconut! So you’ll get it with all the stamps right on the nut!
Anyone can play, but we can only send coconuts to the US, Canada, UK, and Australia. Please feel free to play along, who knows, we still may be able to work out a deal sending it to you.
What’s it cost?
FREE!
How do I win?
Winning is easy. Blogtown Press currently has 12 blogs that are participating in the Link to a Coconut Contest. All of these blogs are active and have anywhere from 20 posts to a few hundred posts. All you have to do is link to a post on anyone of those blogs and if you link to the correct post you win a coconut. We currently have 3 coconuts to give away so that means we will randomly choose 3 posts within the network that will be the “winner” posts. These could be on any of the 12 blogs so you’ll have to hunt around for what you think is the right post.
